Ingredients :
Dried fruit (cherries, raisins, sultanas, apricots, blueberries, etc.) – 150 g
Orange juice -1 tbsp.
Cold butter – 150g
Flour – 500 g + a little more
Baking powder – 2 tsp.
Powdered sugar – 2 tsp.
Salt
Ripe banana – 1,5 pcs.
Milk – 4 tbsp + some more
Pour the dried fruit or dry berries (to taste) in orange juice, so that the juice covered the fruit. Leave for a couple of hours to swell. The dough: the less you knead it, the better. Butter, flour, baking powder, sugar and a good pinch of sea salt should go into a bowl; mix the butter and flour together to form a coarse crumb. Make an indentation in the dough – add a banana crushed with a fork and milk.
Stir everything, drain the fruit and add to the dough (if the dough is dry, you can add a little milk). Sprinkle with flour and cover the bowl with clingfilm. Place in fridge for 15 minutes. Sprinkle work surface with flour. Roll out the dough 2-3 cm thick.
Use a mold to cut out scones in circles about 6 cm in diameter. Place on a baking tray, brush with milk or melted butter. Bake at 200 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Serve with anything you like, you can give free rein to your imagination!
Have a nice meal!
