Ingredients:
Lentils – 300 – 400 gr.
Cauliflower – 4 – 5 florets
Zucchini or zucchini – 200 gr.
Sweet pepper – 1 pc.
Tomatoes – 2 pcs.
Carrots – 1 pc.
Ginger – 1 tsp.
Turmeric – 1 tsp.
Curry – 1 tsp.
Cinnamon and cardamom – as desired.
Paprika – ½ tsp.
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp.
Zira – ½ tsp.
Olive oil
Salt – to taste
Wash red lentils, soak for 3 to 4 hours, then pour 2 to 3 liters of water and simmer on low heat until tender. Red lentils are usually cooked for 25 – 30 minutes. This is enough time for lentils to be well cooked. If the lentils are not boiled, then mash it with a blender. Break the cauliflower into florets and put them in salted water for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash the vegetables and cut into cubes. Grate carrots on a fine grater. Meanwhile, fry all the spices and a little salt in a pan with melted butter. After 1 – 2 minutes add ginger, stir. After 30-40 seconds add the carrots and fry for 3 – 4 minutes. Add chopped vegetables, stir and stir-fry for 3 to 4 more minutes. Add stewed vegetables and spices to the pot and cook for 10 – 15 minutes. Indian dal soup is ready. Sprinkle with greens before serving. You can also spoon the soup.
Have a nice meal!
