Vegetarian sausage: recipe for cooking at home
Ingredients needed:
Sprouted wheat – 200 grams;
Beet – 200 gr;
Green pepper – 10 peas;
Asafetida – 1 tablespoon;
Sea salt – 1 tablespoon;
Spice “Hmeli Suneli” – 1 teaspoon;
Herbs “Provence” – 2 teaspoons;
House spice “Universalna” – 1 teaspoon;
Black Pepper – 1/2 teaspoon;
Smoked “Chechil” cheese (without rennet) – 200 grams;
Butter – 80 grams.
How to cook vegetarian sausage
- Sprouted wheat washed, drain the water, let drain;
- Beets peeled from the skin and grate on a fine grater;
- on a chopping board, with a rolling pin, knead the allspice and peas and send it to the beets, add asafetida, salt, hmeli suneli, Provencal herbs, spice home “Universal”, ground in the mill and black pepper peas, and stir everything thoroughly;
- The cheese is sliced first into thin strips along its length, and then crumbled into small pieces;
- Grind the wheat in a meat grinder, add the beets and spices, cheese, butter and mix everything thoroughly;
- Spread a roll of foil on the table, put 1/4 of the stuffing on the edge of the sheet, wrap the sausage carefully in three layers of foil, cut off the rest of the foil and pinch the foil around the edges. Thus roll up four sausages;
- Spread a roll of food film on the table, place one sausage on the edge, carefully wrap it in three layers, cut off the foil remnants. Roll the sausage on the table, thus sealing the film. Tie the ends of the film on both sides into knots.
- Take a saucepan with a big bottom, so the sausage bars can fit the whole length, pour water into it and put it to boil. Once the water is boiling, put the sausages in it and cook for 40 minutes.
