HEALTHY SALAD WITH POMEGRANATE AND TANGERINE

This salad mix, like a ray of sunshine, will bring a fresh bright note to your New Year’s menu. It’s quite a light salad that won’t break the usual gastronomic rhythm and will create a festive mood.

To prepare 3-4 servings you will need:

1 bunch of fresh salad leaves;
2 to 3 medium sized ripe tangerines;
½ ripe medium sized pomegranate seeds;
200 gr. feta cheese.
To serve this mix, you will need a large flat or slightly recessed dish.

Fresh salad leaves should be washed under running water and dried. It is worth noting that in this composition will fit perfectly as one kind of green leaf lettuce, as well as a combination of its different varieties. Here it is a matter of taste. Greens should be torn into medium sized pieces and placed at the bottom of the container prepared for serving. On top you have to put pomegranate seeds and crumbs of feta cheese randomly. Tangerines need to be peeled. Divide the inside into slices, which should be carefully cleaned of foils and membranes. In this form we put the slices just as chaotically on top of the composition.

This salad does not require dressing. However, if desired, you can squeeze out a few drops of tangerine juice. For spiciness, a drop of lime juice or olive oil will do.

Note

This salad has a fresh citrus flavor. In order for the dish to be truly enjoyable, you should not prepare it too far in advance. The products included in the composition may spoil and give juice. Usually such combinations are cooked a maximum of 1-1.5 hours before serving. And it is better to serve this refreshing Christmas mix immediately after cooking. We’re sure that such a dish won’t stay on the table for long!
