This vibrant combination will impress all citrus lovers. The mix of orange, grapefruit and tarocco will provide a refreshing wave of flavor and will definitely not upset the usual balance. If you’re not allergic to vitamin C and citrus fruits, this dish is definitely worth putting on the New Year’s table.
To prepare 3-4 servings you will need:
orange – 1-1.5 pieces of medium size;
grapefruit – 1 big one;
tarocco – 1-1,5 pieces;
½ ripe pomegranate seeds;
fresh mint – 1-2 sprigs.
To serve this mix, it is best to choose a large flat dish. Since the salad is laid out in the form of a mosaic, you will need a spacious flat surface.
The hardest part of making this salad is peeling and slicing all the prepared citrus fruits into even slices. Here you will have to be patient and persistent. All oranges, broccoli and grapefruit need to be completely rid of the skin. Each fruit will also need to remove the thin protective film. Then, each fruit should be cut into even thin circles. These circles need to spread on a flat plate in a mosaic sequence. Next, it is necessary to scatter pomegranate seeds on the surface of the composition. Fresh mint leaves should be used to decorate the mix. To do this, it is worth tearing the leaves into small elements beforehand. This salad does not need any dressing. In the role of this component will be the juice, which will abundantly give citrus fruits.
Note
This composition is better to put on the New Year’s table immediately after cooking. But if you want to make such a salad in advance, it is not terrible. It is allowed to prepare the dish 1-1,5 hours before serving. So that the culinary masterpiece does not lose its freshness, it is worth leaving it in the cold until X hour. It is worth noting that this salad is not only satiating and refreshing, but also really decorates the holiday table! It’s just a pity that this dish will not delight the eye for long – it is very tasty.
